South Central Railway has launched a new initiative to make railway services more accessible to the people. It has launched the country's first 'Rail Parcel App' with the aim of providing door-to-door parcel booking and delivery services to customers who choose to transport parcels by train on Indian Railways. This app was launched by South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava at Rail Nilayam on Wednesday. On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) to undertake a comprehensive study on the freight logistics market.
